Outdoor science for active kids where we explore everyday chemistry in a different way!
This session is a great way to explore mixtures and simple variables in an outdoor environment. NB: This can be a messy workshop – choose a suitable site! |

Science workshop experiments
Content
The workshop is built around 3 modules;
- Chemistry of giant bubbles. Investigate the effects of changing the bubble mixture.
- Sherbet making. Witness that certain ingredients can be combined to create a reaction.
- Slime making. Learn to follow a procedure and problem solve to get the desired result.
Whilst we have a bunch of fun we also concentrate of teaching that fair testing of variables and clearly communicating results throughout each module. There’s also time for a rocket launch to really demonstrate that variables can have a big influence on the result… plus, to be honest who doesn’t like a rocket?!?
This workshop is best run outdoors on a grassed area near a table otherwise an undercover area out of the rain will suffice.

I just wanted to pass on how much the staff and students really enjoyed it and how perfect it was to launch our science week activities. The students were enthralled, educated and entertained – a perfect trifecta!

-Greenvale Primary School – Big Science Big FunFizzics Education curated a thoughtful and hands-on experience for the children, incorporating practical, skill-based learning activities and followed by a science presentation at the end of the event involving liquid nitrogen. This was delivered safely and effectively, capturing both the children and the parents for the duration of the presentation.
-Macquarie Bank – Family Fun DayFizzics Education ran a show today at our school and it was wonderful. He was a great facilitator and the show was age appropriate and well done.
