- Dissect a prawn and have the students label the types of legs, the number of body segments, the brain, gills etc.
- Dissect a cow’s heart. Students should be able to find the atria and ventricles, the valves, chordae tendineae and blood vessels

- Dissect a whole fish. Find the digestive tract, the heart, gills, swim bladder, liver and more
- Dissect a cow’s eye and find the lens, optic nerve, sclera and more. Try removing the optic nerve and replacing this with baking paper so that you can see the image formed on the back of the eye.
