Bridge Building 101

Bridge Building 101

Can your truss arrangement stand the test of time?

A fun and practical STEM workshop!

This programme offers students a chance to design and build their own bridges using hot glue guns and ice cream sticks. Specific content covers the differences between truss arrangements and how they influence bridge strength.

Which forces act within a bridge and how do engineers compensate for them within modern designs?
Find out when you put your design to the test!
