STEM TPL for Primary and Early Learning Teachers
STEM TPL for Primary and Early Learning Teachers
This hands-on session will step teachers through the scientific method and how it can be taught with experiments that use simple materials, able to be sourced from the supermarket or hardware store. It will examine how experiments can be adapted for different stages and classrooms, as well as how they can be incorporated into the Science & Technology K-6 Syllabus and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
What do participants do?
Throughout this session, we’ll look at a wide variety of science experiments that help learners understand how basic scientific principles work in everyday situations. Kitchen chemistry, forces, sound, light and much more will be addressed, with the activities specifically covering materials that you can easily source from the local shops.
