Running a science party at home or a family member’s home is easy to do and comes with a number of benefits: You don’t have to hire the venue… this will save money that can be put towards decorations, gifts & party food. You’re in control of the party venue, which means you get all the time you want to setup the party theme and food without a narrow window of entry & exit to a hired venue. You don’t have to transport a heap of materials to another party venue. You know your own kitchen, which means you have everything you need. If you have a garage, verandah or lounge room you most likely have what is needed for a science party in wet weather anyway. Kids love showing off their home to their friends! Of course, sometimes your home may just not be suitable for a science party Eg. You live in a small unit or terrace house and cannot realistically fit 15 children in your home. You are renovating or in the process of moving. You simply just don’t want the kids in your home! Even if you don’t want to run the party at home, there are other easy options for a science party venue! Below are some ideas that can help you. Trustpilot

A local Scout or Church Hall They can often be hired for less than a normal community centre and the funds raised helps your local community.
Hire a local council community hall. These council halls are fitted with kitchens and public toilets, and often have additional play equipment, tables and chairs for you to use. Contact your local council for more information. Please be aware that weekends often book out quickly in these venues. Some inner-city venues have extremely poor parking, please remember that parking close to the venue is a requirement for us to run a successful science party for you – we carry a large amount of equipment that needs to be unloaded.
Your own school or preschool Schools and preschools already have infrastructure in place to handle large numbers of children. Teachers are often happy to run these science parties as an extension class, just make sure you seek permission from both the classroom teacher and the school principal. We’ve been running school science visits since 2004 and as such we are fully insured, aligned to the curriculum, have all risk assessments needed, have completed Working with Children Checks for each staff member and no activity will affect the school or preschool grounds. If a ‘science party’ isn’t favourable to the teacher, perhaps we can run one of our traditional science visits at your school as a science incursion instead? Our science workshops are run throughout NSW, QLD, Victoria & ACT in both government and independent primary & high schools and are highly engaging with very strong curriculum links plus we’ve had consistently fantastic teacher feedback!
